Flatten your tube and decide which side will be bottom, this will be the unstitched portion. I chose the side where the color changes were made. Fold your tube as shown in photo below and SS half way up. Make sure the open end side is the bottom, this will be the flat part of the wedge.
Fold the open end flat half way up the end as shown in the photo below. Sew three sides to secure fold.
Add a button or embellishment, this could be a great use for an appliqué. Have fun with this part make it funki.
Now you need to cut the base. You can measure and cut your plastic canvas around your pieces base or you can use my template. Click here for template. Slide cut canvass into bottom of wedge.
Fill your ziplock bag up with 2/3 cup of popcorn seeds or what ever you decided on, and seal your bag. Wrap a little amount of polly fill around your bag, you do not want to over stuff the bag. Place your stuffing in the opening of the tube. Flatten the tube and pin in place.
Now add a row of slip stitches or surface crochet. This row should be place about 7 or 8 rows in, you want to get as close to your base as you can. I did three rows of slip stitches alternating purple and strawberry as shown below.
Now you need to fill the lip (lack of better terms). Use the base #2 from my template above or cut your own rectangle. Place base in opening and add a little polly fill here, again not to overload it.
Lastly, SS or surface stitch the lip closed. Enjoy!
